Posted October 2nd, 2007 in Uncategorized

We’ll another day off, and another post to add to this never-ending learning experience. So, I just got this book by Richard Williams Call the “Animator’s Survival Kit” and I’d have to say i’m more than intrigued and impressed by all the work that went into this book..try 20 years worth. So I’m very honored to have such an amazing bulk of information before me to read and take it. I would recommend the book to anyone who wants to do anything animation.

here’s a quote from the book that Richard Williams heard from another mentor of his
“If you cant draw, forget it..your an actor without arms of leg”

About This Weblog

My Name is Cory Ag, I'm a full time husband and student Animator, who loves to draw and make people laugh. I have been into drawing ever since I was little, but I remember always trying to express myself and draw the things around me and after so many bad drawings, I began to get flustered! I saw the lines in my head, but I just couldn't get them on my paper. So, unconsciously I quit. Eventually they're would be days when I'd try and pick up the pencil again start drawing, find a drawing I'd actually like, try to duplicate it and hate it..then quit again. When I turned 15 , I started playing around with Flash..and making these short cartoons...and after a while of getting the hang of making things move on the computer.. decided it was time to improve on my drawing- basically pick up drawing again. *Note* This is around the time Spongebob was still showing on TV every single day - it was still a very very popular show. In fact, that's about the same time Finding Nemo came out on dvd. Seeing all of this stuff just inspired the hell out of me. I couldn't feel more honored and privileged to be a part of this site, this animated community, this world filled with amazing artists and talented people!!! I cant wait to see what the future holds!
